Ayurvedic Tastes and Buddha Bowl for Dosha

Second Class May 4th 1-4pm

Ancient traditions across cultures recognized that food is more than nourishment—it is medicine, spirit, and a sacred expression of the Earth. In Ayurveda, eating is a ritual aligned with your dosha, the 6 tastes (Rasas), and the ever-shifting seasons. Food carries the energy of the plants, the elements, and the vibrations of Shakti within.

Eating with Mother Nature’s rhythms means tuning into the vibrations of:

• The seasons

• The moon phases

• The land and climate

• The shakti of the plants

This is food as ritual. Food as prayer. Food as a bridge between the Earth and the Soul.

In Ayurveda, plants possess a subtle energy or "vibration" that interacts with our bioenergetic field, impacting our physical, mental, and emotional states. This energy, or "prana," can be harnessed for healing and balancing the Doshas.

In the second Ayurvedic Earth Medicine class we will:

• Begin with a Welcoming Fire Ceremony to honor the elements and awaken our senses

• Create and eat Ayurvedic Buddha Bowls based on your unique dosha and the 6 Rasas (tastes)

• Learn to eat seasonally and cyclically, in harmony with the moon, weather, and elements

• Explore tropical and subtropical plants and their healing Rasas and energies

• Connect to ancient ways of eating that align with Mother Nature’s rhythms and Shakti

This is more than an herbal school—it is a reconnection to the sacred, guided by food, plants, fire, and the inner knowing that we are nature.

All are welcome. Come as you are. Leave grounded, inspired, and deeply nourished.

Transform Your Health with Rosemary & Aloe Herbs

Welcome to the Ayurvedic Earth Medicine School

The Ayurvedic Earth Medicine School specializes in Ayurveda and tropical/subtropical herbs, holistic healing, herbal medicine, and traditional wisdom.

It teaches the principles of Ayurveda, including doshas, diet, and lifestyle practices, while emphasizing the use of locally available tropical and subtropical plants for healing. Students learn plant identification, preparation of herbal remedies, and integration of Ayurvedic therapies for balance and well-being.

Students learn to work with tropical and subtropical herbs, exploring plant identification, medicine-making, and plant spirit healing, including the

energetic and spiritual properties of plants.

The curriculum also includes floral essences, a vibrational form of healing that deepens connection to plant consciousness.

A strong focus on ethnobotany connects students to the ancestral relationships between people and plants, exploring the traditional uses, cultural significance, appropriation, and the healing properties of tropical and subtropical herbs.

The school emphasizes sacred reciprocity with the Earth, teaching students how to engage with nature in a respectful and regenerative way.

Rhythmic living is central to the teachings, with practices such as harvesting by the moon and living by lunar cycles, which align daily life, planting, and medicine-making with natural cosmic rhythms.

Ayurvedic Earth Medicine School blends Ayurveda’s time-tested healing principles with ethnobotanical herbal traditions and Earth-honoring practices, empowering students to cultivate balance, well-being, and sustainability in their personal lives and communities.

Our first class will be Sunday April 6th from 1-4pm and is $60. this class we will go over Ayurveda, Doshas and individual constitution, herbs and rasas.

You will be trying various herbs to learn how to distinguish tastes.

In Ayurveda, "rasa" refers to the six fundamental tastes: sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent, each with unique properties and effects on the body and mind.

What’s awesome is that I usually see clients privately (valued at $150) to determine Doshas but in this first class we will discover each others with my guidance. We will have a fire to kick off the first class and then learn about Ayurveda constitutions and rasas (with herbs from the garden) each class will build on the one prior.

Ayurvedic Seasonal Healing

Kapha Herbal Tea

New Kapha Herbal blend!

In Ayurvedic Seasonal Healing- Kapha season is here, bringing its cool, damp, and heavy qualities, which can lead to sluggish digestion and congestion.

One of my favorite herbal infusions to balance Kapha includes cardamom, fennel, clove, ginger, hawthorn, cinnamon, and papaya enzymes—a warming, stimulating blend that helps awaken digestion.

This infusion supports flatulence relief by reducing bloating, easing gas, and promoting smoother digestion. Papaya enzymes (papain) further enhance digestion by breaking down proteins and supporting gut health.

The blend also aids detoxification by stimulating circulation, encouraging lymphatic flow, and gently cleansing the liver.

Enjoying this tea first thing in the morning or before meals helps kindle Agni (digestive fire) and prevent sluggish digestion.
