Orchid tree floral essence workshop for kids.

The Orchid Tree (Bauhinia variegata), also known as Kanchanara in Ayurveda, is a sacred and medicinal tree widely used in traditional healing systems, especially Ayurveda.  It is valued for treating a host of conditions for skin healing, hormonal balance, and rejuvenation.

The flowers and leaves are rich in antioxidants, flavonoids, and anti-inflammatory compounds, making them excellent for beauty treatments and health remedies.

Not only that, The Orchid Tree (Bauhinia variegata) is a highly nutritious and medicinal tree that has the potential to combat hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity due to its high nutrient content, adaptability, and medicinal properties.

In this workshop we will delve into these special properties as well as make a floral essence.

A floral essence is a vibrational remedy, believed to address emotional and behavioral issues, and overall wellness through the energy of flowers, distinct from essential oils which work through scent.

They are based on the idea that flowers have a healing vibrational energy that can be imprinted in a water-based matrix.

The recipe the kids will learn is mild, creamy, and absolutely delicious! Not only will they learn how to make this recipe but they will also learn about the tropical herbs and spices that are in the blend.

Golden milk has been used for ages in Ayurvedic medicine and is a common beverage on the island of Okinawa (one of the Blue Zones, known for longevity).

      Adult Herbal Gatherings

Once a month we gather to go over a plant (herb or spice) that grows here in Florida and that is ready to harvest. Together we will explore the plants profile, energetics, actions, teas, tastes, harvesting and cooking.

This is a great way to get to know each other and the various plants that are growing in our own backyards.
